More than 7,000 applications for the Hardest Hit principal reduction plan had been accepted as of 2 p.m. today.
The program remains open until 25,000 applications are received.
The website, www.principalreductionflhhf.org, had experienced earlier difficulties and was turning people away saying it had reached the quota.
Florida Housing Finance Corporation officials sent out a media alert this morning asking homeowners who were having problems applying to please try again.
The application process opened this morning at 9 a.m. The Palm Beach Post wrote more about the program in a story that ran on Saturday.
